Environmental remediation for an educational facility in Massey, Ontario. Completed plans call for environmental remediation for a primary / secondary education facility.

Supply and install all materials, labour, and equipment required to complete these Radon Reduction & Mitigation Upgrades, and other miscellaneous renovation work indicated, including but not limited to the following: - All indicated demolition, & concrete floor trenching. - Cleanup and removal of all abandoned materials or discarded miscellaneous items within the existing crawlspace areas, in preparation of new sealed poly floor installations. - Excavate a +- 300mm wide x 300mm deep trenches in the existing sand crawlspace floor. - Supply & install 100mm perforated radon subterrain piping surrounded by 100mm of coarse gravelto permit good airflow/movement, and remainder of trench backfilled with +- 100mm of compacted sand topping to match adjacent crawlspace sand floor grades. - Provide a new Active Sub-membrane depressurization system, including covering the existing entire sand covered crawlspace floor, with taped/sealed air-tight new 10mil polyethylene membrane floor covering, including a minimum 300mm poly overlap up all vertical walls and secured with batten & caulking. - Tape and seal air-tight, the poly membrane floor covering at all vertical radon vent pipe penetrations. - Remove existing flooring in indicated slab-on-grade areas, and saw-cut concrete floors & trench a +- 300mm wide x 300mm deep trench. - Provide new Sub-slab Depressurization system, consisting of 100mm perforated radon subterrain piping surrounded by 100mm of coarse gravel (above & below radon pipe) to permit good airflow/movement, and then install 10 MIL poly and infill trench with concrete, to match adjacent concrete floor finishes. Prep floor to receive new flooring. - Caulk and seal floor air-tight, at all radon vertical pipe penetration up through concrete floor. - Supply & install new ultra-quiet radon exhaust fans, either within new accessible vertical chase ways, or above in T-bar ceiling spaces; all as indicated on drawings. bid value not released for publication.
