As of April 19, 2024, the project was awarded to N Granese & Sons, with an awarded amount of $1,783,966.50. Estimated Cost 1.5 million Water Main Replacement on Chestnut Street, North Putnam Street, Locust Street in the Town of Danvers The proposed work will involve replacement of approximately 3,300 linear feet of existing water mains with new 6, 8, and 12-inch ductile iron water mains within the paved road surface and shoulder of roadway, and installation of new copper water services to each property. The work will involve installation of temporary water mains above the ground during construction, excavation to remove existing water mains and install new water mains and services. Following installation of the new water mains and services, the excavated areas will be backfilled and paved within the existing road surface or loamed and seeded in the shoulder areas. Once the work is complete, the temporary water mains will be removed. The work also includes temporary and permanent trench paving and replacement of pavement markings.
