The Request for Proposal (RFP) is for selectiing a Construction Manager-at-Risk firm for the Project as provided by Chapter 2269, Subchapter F, of the Texas Government Code. The RFP provides the information necessary to prepare and submit Proposals includin fee proposals and general conditions prices. The selection process for this RFP is a one-step process as described in Section 2269.253 of the Texas Government Code. The Owner will rank the Proposal in the order that they provide the "best value" for the Owner based on the published selection criteria ans on the ranking evaluations. The City Hall project is a new 35,000 SF, two-story building located adjacent to their existing City Hall at 604 Fairmont Pkwy, La Porte, TX 77571. The program will include City Council Chambers, seven departmental office suites, large grand lobby, several conference rooms, covered patios, training room, and support spaces. The current facility and parking will remain operational throughout construction. Once the new City Hall is built, the old building will be demolished, and the remainder of the site will be developed to provide necessary parking, green space, and other public amenities. The final site will include approximately 130 parking spaces, driveways, large plaza, wet bottom detention pond and drive thru kiosk. Contract Awarded May 2024 The City reserves the right to reject any and/all proposals, to waive any and all technicalities and to accept any proposal or part thereof, which in the opinion of the City Council, is most advantageous to the City. A Bid Bond, payable to the City of La Porte in an amount not less than 5% of the total of estimated Preconstruction Services submitted, must accompany each Proposal as guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the bidder within fifteen (15) calendar days of award of Contract enter into a Contract and execute Performance and Payment Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents.
