Detail visual inspection of 1054 Retaining Wall Structures along various provincial highways within the MTO Central Region in accordance with OSIM, input data into the Ontario Bridge Management System (OBMS) and generate reports. TIMELINE:
A Prequalified Request For Proposals has been issued by the owner. The awarded proponent will Shall have demonstrated successful experience planning, analyzing, evaluating, rehabilitating and designing bridges and culverts.
Shall have a minimum of five (5) years of transportation structures experience, including structure inspections, bridge engineering, and experience (as a P. Eng.) on projects of low or medium complexity scope and size (at minimum 1 project shall be an MTO project).
Proponents can submit the same individual as the Project Manager and Senior Structural Engineer, provided they meet the qualification requirements of both roles.
1) Only the firms registered in RAQS in the Prime Specialty Biennial Inspection identified in this Notice will be considered as candidates for the Prime Consultant position on this assignment.
2) For a firm to be considered for this assignment, the firm must have for minimum, the prior registration of their Core Plan and the Generic Category Plan for the Category where the Prime Specialty is located.
The scope of work includes all work necessary to deliver this Assignment as described in the RFQ Documents. The Service Provider shall plan, design and construct all work in conformance with Ministry of Transportation standards, criteria and requirements any area directives or specifications, and the Technical Standards and Specifications (Appendix 2). As well, when providing services under this Agreement, the Service Provider shall comply with all applicable legislation, regulatory standards, industry best management practices, and other guidelines and procedures relevant to conduct the work. The Service Provider shall also consult any existing applicable MTO guidance documents as appropriate. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between documents, documents with the most recent dates shall prevail.
This assignment includes work that is in a French Language Services designated area. The Service Provider must comply with all provisions of the French Language Services Act, including but not limited to Third Party Regulation 284/11.

A detailed visual inspection and MTO Bridge Management System (MTO BMS) inspection report is required for all bridges and structural culverts, along various provincial highways, in the Central Region/Area. See structures listed in Appendix -A'.
The Ministry retains the exclusive right to add "Extra Work" to this RFQ assignment. All provisions of this RFQ shall apply to the Extra Work.
