The City of Jefferson, Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department, herein referred to as City, is requesting sealed bids to repair. re-coat, and inspect slides at Memorial Park Family Aquatic Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. Specifications The City is seeking competitive bids to repair, re-coat, and inspect two (2) closed flume water slides. Repairs will include structural repairs that are an obvious threat to slide users as well as minor fiberglass repairs in the ride path. Seams in the ride path shall be caulked as well. Both closed flume body slides will require exterior clean up, prep, and painting. The two open flume slide will need the ride paths cleaned up, prepped, cracks repaired, seams caulked, and have new gel coating applied to the ride path. The slides are located at Memorial Park Family Aquatic Center, 120 Binder Dr., Jefferson City, MO. Slide descriptions: Open Flume Body Slide- Green and White approximately 215 feet long Open Flume Body Slide- Blue and White approximately 215 feet long Closed Flume Body Slide- Blue approximately 54 feet long Closed Flume Body Slide-Blue approximately 30 feet long See slide photos in Exhibit 3. Contractor is responsible for all supplies, equipment, and labor necessary for the repairs. Bidders are encouraged to submit multiple proposals to cover varying techniques to restoring the flume waterslides. Bidders shall indicate in their response the number of days required to preform the requested services. All work must be completed no later than May 10, 2024. Bidders are encouraged to bid in the general classification described in this request. All bids must be as specified or equal. All substitutions or deviations from specifications must be clearly stated and fully described. Bidders should provide full descriptive literature and warranty information on materials used to complete the work requested. Bids will be awarded to the lowest and best bid meeting the needs of the City. The City reserves the right to disqualify bids, before or after opening, upon evidence of collusion with intent to defraud or other illegal practice upon the part of the bidder. Contractor shall provide a bond to the City before work is commenced, and no later than ten (10) days after the execution of this contract, guaranteeing the Contractor's performance of the work bid for, the payment of amounts due to all suppliers of labor and materials, the payment of insurance premiums for workers compensation insurance and all other insurance called for under this contract, and the payment of the prevailing wage rate to all workmen as required by this contract, said bond to be in a form approved by the City, and to be given by such company or companies as may be acceptable to the City in its sole and absolute discretion. The amount of the bond shall be equal to the Contractor's bid.
