UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ, hereby advertises for competitive bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:64A-25.14(a): Bid No. BFY2024-01: DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURE - 254 EAST THIRD STREET PLAINFIELD CAMPUS. Bids may also be submitted to the Director of Purchasing or designee at the bid opening meeting or prior to the advertised date and time. On the advertised date and time, the Director of Purchasing or designee shall publicly receive and open all bids. No bids shall be received after the time designated in the advertisement (N.J.S.A. 18A:64A-25.14.a.). UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ does not accept electronic (e-mail) submission of bids Contractors bidding on this project are to comply with the requirements of the Prevailing Wage Rate Determination pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25. All Contractors named in this proposal, shall possess a valid Public Works Contractor's Registration Certificate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq., at the time the proposal is received by UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ. A bidder on a construction project for a County College where the cost of the work exceeds $20,000.00 must first have been qualified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and shall submit with the bid a copy of a valid and active Notice of Classification certifying pre-qualification as required in the bid specifications, a certified copy of their Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts (DPMC Form 701), and an Affidavit stating that there has been no material adverse change in the qualification information except as set forth in said Affidavit. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ, for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid (N.J.S.A. 18A:64A-25.16). Corporate bidders are required by law (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2) to submit a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of their stock. The College reserves the right to reject any or all bids, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:64A-25.15 and to waive any informalities that may be deemed to be in the best interest of the College. All necessary bid specifications and bid forms will be available for download from the College Vendor Opportunities website at https://www.ucc.edu/administration/purchasing/vendor-opportunities/.
