Site work and paving for a civil project in New Auburn, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of providing all labor and material for replacing ~1800 feet of 8-inch water main under residential streets. The project includes valves, hydrants, and water service and curb box replacements; 9 catch basins, 7 manholes, and ~ 900 ft of new storm sewer pipe installation; and ditch reshaping; ~ 3000 feet of curb and gutter: 7,000 square yards of asphalt pavement installation; and associated work. A pre-bid conference will not be held. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. Bidder is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 72 hours of the bid opening to CBS Squared, Inc., ATTN: Kristi Lentz, 770 Technology Way, Suite 1A, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders will be required to provide performance and payment bonds of 100 percent of bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and sub -contractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part with federal funds in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, as determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area. If the requirements of Davis Bacon, the State of Wisconsin, and the Contract requirements conflict with regard to wages, the highest of the three shall apply.
