Contract award will be made by the City Commission at a regularly scheduled meeting. The City Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technical errors and informalities and make the award in the best interest of the city. All work on this project shall be constructed in accordance with the contract documents prepared by the City. Bids shall be submitted for the furnishing, delivering and installing all materials equipment and services, including labor for the project, which generally involves the following activities: Total Roof Size: 13,133 square feet o Remove 1-layer of existing shingle roofing, underlayment, and all fasteners down to clean decking o Remove and replace any rotted/broken decking o Remove and replace any rusted/corroded flashing o Install Certainteed Roof Runner water-resistant synthetic underlayment - 2 layers per Florida Building Code o Install new wide-faced aluminum drip edge o Install a self-adhering Ice and Water Shield barrier in every valley, every penetration, and wall o Install new lead pipe flashing over all vent stacks (6) o Install new metal gooseneck style exhaust vents (5) o Install new shingle-over style ridge vent using as much ridge space as possible (216 linear feet of ridge vent) o Install new Certainteed Landmark Lifetime Architectural Shingles (129 squares) o Install new Certainteed Seal-a-Ridge Hip and Ridge Shingles (10 bundles) o Clean out all gutters. Haul away all trash and debris o Perform magnetic sweep of property continually throughout the day Question Deadline 03/08/2024 Any Bidder who is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Bidding Documents, or finds a discrepancy or omission there, may submit to the City a written request for an interpretation or correction.
