Demolition and site work for a residential development in Fairfield, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The City of Fairfield, IA will accept sealed bids for the demolition, disposal and back fill of the following structure located within the City of Fairfield, IA: Location Address: 504 S 6th, Fairfield, Iowa NOTE: Asbestos testing by Hawkeye Environmental has determined there is no asbestos containing material at 504 S 6th St. See attached report. The City of Fairfield reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after receipt of bids and no bid may be withdrawn during this period. Each quoting contractor shall accompany quote with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8. The bid security shall be 10% of the bid amount. (See bid form). A 100% performance bond or irrevocable letter of credit stating the total cost of the project bid is required from the successful bidder on all removal projects. The contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall be required to provide insurance in the form and limits shown within the bid documents. Preference for Products and Labor By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of lowa, and to lowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statues.
