Renovation of a fire / police facility in Fremont, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,560-square-foot fire / police facility.

Project Information. 2.1 Location and Description. The Project is located at 2000 Stevenson Blvd, Fremont, CA and is described as follows: Phased construction. Remove approximately 7,560 sq.ft. of carpet tile. Prep floor and install moisture barrier. Installation of approx. 7,560 sq. ft. of new LVT flooring. Removal of existing base and installation of new rubber base (approx. 1,735 linear feet). Installation of metal/aluminum transition strip between new LVT and existing flooring (approx. 254 linear feet). Temporary relocation of fridges in workspaces. Remove existing benches in locker rooms and reinstall after flooring installation. Coordinate with the City's furniture vendor for phasing. Provide 10% attic stock of LVT and 5% attic stock of rubber base. 2.2 Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is: One Hundred (100) calendar days (excluding holidays) from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed to Final Completion. 2.3 Estimated Project Cost. The Engineer's estimate is, for the Project is $160,000. This estimate serves only as a guideline to bidders of the scope of the Work and the Project. No bidder, including the successful bidder, is entitled to make any claim against City based on inaccuracy of the estimated cost or range of cost of the Work or the Project. Questions and Requests for Information or Clarification. Bidders must submit any inquiry under this Section by 2:00 p.m. at least 3 Working Days before the Bid Deadline. Questions received any later will not be addressed before the Bid Deadline. Prevailing Wages. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to perform the Work, including employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, apprenticeship and similar purposes.
