The RCKC invites qualified bidders to submit proposals to furnish services for sealing of cracks in bituminous pavements at various locations throughout Kalamazoo County The bid prices submitted are to remain valid through December 31, 2024. The local road projects for the townships; Cooper, Richland, shall be complete prior to June 1, 2024. The local road projects for the townships; Texas, Brady, and Wakeshma shall be complete prior to July 1, 2024. Scheduling of the local road projects shall be coordinated with RCKC staff to align with our chip seal applications for the year. All other primary road projects shall be complete prior to August 31, 2024. The RCKC reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received as a result of this bid/RFP, or to negotiate separately with any source whatsoever, in any manner necessary, to serve the best interests of the RCKC. The RCKC does not intend to award a purchase order solely on the basis of any response made to this request, or otherwise pay for the information solicited or obtained. The term of the contract is for the calendar year ending December 31st unless otherwise specified. This contract may be extended for three (3) one (1) year extensions by the mutual agreement of both parties. Requests for extension must be emailed to purchasing@kalamazoocountyroads.com, by October 1 of the current contract period. This bid/ RFP is issued by the RCKC, which is the primary point of contact. To be considered, proposals must be received by the RCKC on or before the date and time specified in the notice to bidder. Please take notice the RCKC will be providing request for proposal opening meetings by telephonic conferencing or video conferencing, in a manner in which the vendors, general public and the members of the RCKC may participate. The bid shall be legibly prepared in ink or typed. The bid shall be legally signed and the complete address of the bidder given thereon. Bid or RFP prices must have specific dollar values unless otherwise requested in the bid document. Any bid or RFP not stated in dollar value will be disqualified as non-responsive.
