The Greene County Sheriff's Office in Paragould, Arkansas is seeking qualification submittals for a Security Electronics Contractor (SEC) to upgrade the existing security electronics systems including detention door control, detention intercom, touchscreen control workstations, video surveillance systems, and associated systems. The County will negotiate a system replacement contract with the selected SEC. CRA Architecture and Buford Goff & Associates, Inc. have been retained by the county to assist with the procurement process and oversight of the project. The construction of the Greene County Detention Center was completed and operational in 2014. It comprises approximately 78,000 square feet of a detention addition with a capacity of about 400 beds and about 6,000 square feet of renovated space for staff support and work release. The facility houses low to high custody level inmates. The original security electronics installation was performed by Accurate Controls, Inc. Modifications to the systems were made to the systems in 2019 by another systems contractor but the county has not been able to maintain reliable operation of the modified systems. The project scope will include replacement of the detention door control system (headend), detention intercom system (headend), surveillance video system (entire system plus additional cameras), access control system, and related systems. Other than the video systems, the majority of the field devices and wiring are to remain and the headend equipment replaced. All equipment and software shall not be proprietary products of the SEC. The project scope will include an annual maintenance contract and any recurring system software licensing and software support agreement requirements needed for the operation and maintenance of the system. *A formal Request for Proposal packet, containing specifications and assessed needs, are available by request.
