The project sites are located as follows: C-71(834) - on 197 Street between 370 Avenue and 295 Avenue, on 295 Avenue between 197 Street and 160 Street, and on 160 Street between 295 Avenue and the west city limits of Duncan; C-71(889) - on 68th Street between 48th Street and 40th Street and then south on 40th Street between 68th Street and 66th Street; C-71(891) - on 160 Street between 295 Avenue and 325 Avenue, all in Platte County, Nebraska. The projects are referred to as "Platte County 2024 Asphalt" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: C-71(834) - approximately 7.8 miles of 5" asphaltic concrete, type "SPR" on cement stabilization of the subgrade; C-71(889) - approximately 0.61 miles of Cold Milling, Class 1 with 3" asphaltic concrete overlay, type "SPR"; C-71(891) - approximately 1.39 miles of 1" Cold Milling, Class 3 with 3" asphaltic concrete overlay, type "SPR". Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and End of Construction date with its Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for all other sites is September 1, 2024. The Contractor will be allowed sixty (60) calendar days for C-71(834), fifteen (15) calendar days for C-71(889), and twenty-five (25) calendar days for C-71(891) for completion after beginning work at each site. The completion for each site will be the earlier of the date indicated in the bid proposal, the actual start date plus the allotted calendar days, or the required completion date for that site. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to acceptance by the Platte County Board of Supervisors.
