Question Submission Deadline March 11, 2024, 12:00pm Install approximately 160 linear feet of extruded curb at the Rainier Parking Lot behind the new Lewis County Community Development Building located at 121 NW Chehalis Ave in Chehalis WA. Please see attached drawings for location of curbing and curbing profile. Curbing shall be standard mix for extruded curbing. Curbing shall be placed in a straight continuous pour at the asphalt edge as indicated. Should the asphalt edge vary, the curb should maintain a straight line. This project will install approximately 160 ft of extruded curbing. When the sum of the base bid plus all additive bid alternates is $125,000.00 or less, bid security is not required. When the sum of the base bid plus all additive alternates is greater than $125,000.00, a bid guarantee in the amount of 5% of the base bid amount is required. Failure of the bidder to provide bid guarantee when required shall render the bid non-responsive . Acceptable forms of bid guarantee are: A bid bond or postal money order, or certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Lewis County Treasurer. The Owner will return bid guarantees (other than bid bond) to unsuccessful bidders as soon as practicable, but not sooner than the execution of a contract with the successful bidder. The successful bidder's bid guarantee will be returned to the successful bidder with its official notice to proceed with the work of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bid proposals and to waive informalities that do not affect the essential fairness of the bidding process. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bid prices within sixty (60) days of the bid date.
