Gwinnett County Department of Community Services is soliciting competitive bids from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of epoxy floors at various parks locations. The successful contractor shall furnish all labor and materials required to remove and replace epoxy floors at various locations for the Department of Community Services. II. DESCRIPTION OF WORK 1. Remove existing epoxy floor/ceramic carpet and dispose of all material off County property according Environmental and Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. 2. Check for moisture issues and install moisture membrane if needed. 3. Installation of new epoxy floor/ceramic carpet according to manufacturer's specifications. 4. Remove existing cove base and install new 6" epoxy cove base. 5. Secure work area before and during the project to ensure safety at all times. 6. Clean up all debris and dispose of it according to EPA regulations. The use of products other than those indicated in the materials section must be pre-approved by the Gwinnett County representative. All products must be applied according to the manufacturer's specifications. Any proposed substitutions must be submitted with the bid and must include specifications, colors, warranty, and any other information necessary for evaluation. The County may reject the bid if this information is not provided.
