This project consists of installing a 6 PVC Water Main and appurtenances necessary to replace approximately 1,400 linear feet of an existing 6-inch asbestos cement water main on Highpoint Drive in Gulf Breeze, Santa Rosa County, Florida. The project also includes the proper reconnection of existing water meters, fire hydrants, connecting water mains, including the valves, fittings, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete and operational system, property restoration, and the abandonment of the existing asbestos cement water main. The Contractor shall review this competitive solicitation to determine whether the Scope of Work, conditions, and requirements are clearly stated. Suppose the Contractor has any questions regarding this competitive solicitation. In that case, the Contractor must submit such inquiries and requests for clarification via email only to the Procurement Officer at procurement@gulfbreezefl.gov or through QuestCDN Q&A. These inquiries or requests for clarification must provide the questions along with the relevant Section(s), Subsection(s), Paragraph(s), and page number(s) ofthe competitive solicitation being questioned by the Contractor. Responses to those questions considered material to the ITB will be made available through QuestCDN. The City will consider only those communications and inquiries submitted via email or through QuestCDN Q&A and received by the Procurement Officer on or before Friday, March 13, 2024, at 4:00 pm central time (the "Inquiry Deadline Date"). The City of Gulf Breeze reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any bid informalities, and to re-advertise for bids when deemed in the best interest of the City. Bidders shall not lobby or otherwise attempt to persuade or influence City Council members, officials, or staff, on decisions to be made relating to the bid, except in public presentations requested by the City. The opinion of probable cost for this project is $1,800,000.00.
