Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Inverness, Nova Scotia. Design plans call for the construction of a 2,000-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
Construction of a 2,000 square foot amenity building service an outdoor multi-court recreational facility. The building will have public access with washrooms, a canteen, equipment rental, and storage facilities. Design options for low-carbon footprint, net-zero/net-zero ready and generally "green" construction practices will be encouraged. Mass-timber structure and rooftop solar collection are among the strategies being considered. TIMELINE: Architectural design work is being completed by M3D DesignWorks Inc. Detailed design work is expected to be completed in late 2024. Tender and construction schedules to be confirmed. *Budget is unreleased.
