2024-A Street Bituminous Overlay 2.0 Bituminous Overlay 9,791 LF 2.5 Bituminous Overlay 520 LF Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond payable to Silver Creek Township for not less than five (5) percent of the total bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will, within thirty (30) days after notification of award of contract enter into an agreement with the Township and furnish a performance bond and a payment bond for the full amount of the Contract as provided by law. If the low responsible bidder, upon the award of the contract, shall fail to enter into the contract, the amount of such certified check or bidder's bond shall be forfeited to the Township as liquidated damages. Bid security of all bidders may be retained until the contract has been awarded and executed, but not longer than thirty (30) days from the date of opening bids. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening. Silver Creek Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interest of the Township. The Contract Times will commence to run on the 30th day after the Effective Date of the Contract or, if a Notice to Proceed is given, on the day indicated in the Notice to Proceed. A Notice to Proceed may be given at any time within 30 days after the Effective Date of the Contract. In no event will the Contract Times commence to run later than the 60th day after the day of Bid opening or the 30th day after the Effective Date of the Contract, whichever date is earlier.
