The City of Plano is soliciting for the reconstruction of the existing screening wall at various locations. Work performed for this screening wall replacement project shall include demolition of existing masonry screening walls and reinforced concrete foundation, construction of single and double wythe masonry screening walls and grade beams, tree protection of existing mature trees adjacent to the work area, demolition and reconstruction of existing sidewalk, reinstallation of existing entrance signs, and protection or reinstallation of existing entrance irrigation and lighting where applicable. The location of this project is Park Boulevard at Daventry Drive, Parker Road at Jojoba Court, Independence Parkway from Val Verde to Charring Cross, 15th Street at Amazon Drive and 14th Street at Ridge Gate Drive in the City of Plano, Texas. A location map is included in the plans. CONTRACT TIME This project must reach TOTAL completion within 365 calendar days from the notice to proceed. See Section 2.4, Special Conditions, for further details. IMPORTANT: The amount for liquidated damages is anticipated to be $1,000.00 for each day work remains incomplete after the time specified. EVALUATION The lowest responsive, responsible bidder shall be awarded the contract The project consists of demolishing and replacing ten (10) existing screen walls along Independence Parkway, West Parker Road, 14 th Street, 15 th Street and West Park Blvd in Plano, Texas. The location and limits of the screen walls and the associated test borings for each wall are summarized in Table 1 below. It is understood that the screen walls will be supported by drilled shaft piers founded in unweathered rock.
