Demolition, site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. Design plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Reconstruction of port infrastructure in Sorel-Tracy - Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola. The work will be carried out on one side of the river at a time. There will be three phases of work on each side: Phase 1: Construction of temporary facilities, including an abutment or jetty and a mobile boarding ramp installed on modular floating caissons. Phase 2: Demolition of existing infrastructure and construction of new infrastructure, including a garage wharf, a mobile ramp, and the ferry wharf. Phase 3: Commissioning of the new facilities, dismantling of the temporary facilities, and site restoration. The new wharves will be equipped with two ramps, which will improve the flow of boarding and disembarking. TIMELINE: Conceptual design and environmental assessment (EA) is underway and expected to be deposited for approvals in 2026. Construction start is anticipated in 2029. Further update in spring, 2026.
