Renovation of a fire / police facility in Plaquemine, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Sealed bids are requested by City of Plaquemine from general contractors for construction of Plaquemine Police Station Renovations The successful Bidder is allowed One Hundred Fifty (150) calendar days to complete the Project from the commencement date stated in the Agreement or a Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $500 for each consecutive calendar day for which the work is not substantially complete and $500 for each consecutive calendar day beginning the 46th day after the date of Substantial Completion for which all of the work listed on the punch list is not complete. Complete Bid Documents for this project are available in electronic form. They may be obtained online. Questions about this procedure shall be directed to the Designer at: Fusion Architects, APC, 3488 Brentwood Drive, Suite 101, Baton Rouge, LA 70809; email: biddocs@fusionapc.com. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to 5 percent of the base bid and all additive alternates in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond. The apparent low bidder must complete and deliver to Fusion Architects at the address stated above within ten (10) calendar days after the date of the opening of the Bids the sworn affidavit required to comply with La. R.S. 38:2212.10 regarding an employee status verification system, the signed no conviction affidavit required by La. R.S. 38:2227, the non-collusion affidavit required by La. R. S. 38:2224, and other required documents as specified in the Bidding Documents. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the date of the bid opening except as provided by law. Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractors Licensing Law, R. S. 37:2151 et seq. The City of Plaquemine reserves the right to award the project on whatever basis is in the interest of the Owner and to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
