Please fill out the bid forms completely for years 2024, 2025, and 2026 in order to be considered. The owner reserves the right to regulate the number and type of treatments at a given location based on the available funding and what is determined to be in the best interest of the individual location. The owner is the sole determiner of acreage for a given park which is included in the location descriptions. Bidders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the areas to be treated. The low bidder will be determined by applying the bid price to an estimated number of acres to receive each application in 2024, 2025, and 2026. Total annual estimated number of acres to receive each treatment is: crabgrass control 30 acres, fertilization 120 acres (includes 4 applications), broadleaf weed control 60 acres (2 potential applications), spring grub control 35 acres (if grub threshold has been exceeded), and summer grub control 15 acres (if grub threshold has been exceeded). Actual acreage is subject to change. The successful bidder must furnish all labor, materials and equipment to complete the job to the satisfaction of the City. B.100% Performance Bond All bids to be firm for the duration of the contract. Any deviations from specifications must be so noted. The City of Adrian has a local preference policy. No contract shall be made with any person, firm or corporation in default of the city. The City of Adrian reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. Bidders are to provide pricing for the City of Adrian's fiscal years 2024, 2025, and 2026: July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025, July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026, and July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027; the Owner reserves the right to renew the contract for 2025 & 2026 or if dissatisfied with performance may re-bid for the 2026 season. The first application will be in the spring of 2024. Any questions may be directed to Mr. Jason Lawrence at (517) 264-4874 during normal business hours or by email at: jlawrence@adrianmi.gov. Any variation of treatment from those specified will be allowed only after consultation and agreement with the City. Partial payment will be made upon completion of each treatment. Payments will only be processed upon receipt of the Lawn Care Services Form. (To be provided to the successful bidders(s) Any incorrectly applied applications will be reapplied and/or turf restored at the expense of the contractor. Contractors will make their storage areas and equipment available for inspection upon request of the Superintendent of Parks & Forestry or Cemetery Sexton. Contractor will make all empty or partially empty product bags or containers available for inspection by the Foreman of Parks & Forestry after the completion of each application. Method of application: No drop spreaders, apply evenly throughout site, the Contractor will be required to redo missed areas and/or repair burned areas at no additional cost to the Owner. Spray equipment will be in good working order and be designed for turf applications. It is preferred that contractors supply their own water source. In the event that a water source is needed, one will be made available only upon approval of Foreman of Parks & Forestry or Cemetery Sexton and proof of a Contractor provided backflow device. Rinsing of spray tanks is prohibited.
