Renovation of a water / sewer project in Topeka, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Question Deadline 03/19/2025 at 3:30 PM CT West Intake - Concrete crack and spall repair, replacement of access bridge, intake diversion structure improvements, dredging of material in intake slough, stairs and ladder rehabilitation, guardrail replacement, crane demolition, replacement of exterior intake inlet screens, sluice gate pedestal rehabilitation and new actuators, check valve rehabilitation, replacement of service water line to traveling screens and pumps, replacement of Motor Control Center (MCC-11), evaluation of 12,470 feeders to East Intake, HVAC fan and heater rehabilitation, and cleaning, repair, and coating of piping, equipment, walls, ceiling, and miscellaneous metals. North Chemical Building - Replacement of building veranda, veranda stairs, street curbs, and sidewalks, door replacements in the North Chemical Building and Chlorine Evaporator Building, rehabilitation of flooring in the North Chemical Building, cleaning, repair, and coating of piping, walls, and miscellaneous metals, rehabilitation of carbon dioxide feeders, equipment replacement for aqua ammonia feed system, replacement of chlorine gas lines from Evaporator Building to Chlorine Feed Room in North Chemical Building, hydronic heater replacement. The Wage Rate Determination included in this Project Manual, Document No. 850, will be applicable to the project only if state or federal law requires payment of wages higher than the minimum wage. If Document No. 850 Wage Rate Determination is not included in the Project Manual, then Davis Bacon wages shall not be required for the project. These wages must be paid unconditionally to each class of worker for the duration of the project, unless they are changed by Addendum. The Wage Rate Determination shall be accounted for when preparing the bid. If your company pays fringe benefits to approved plans, funds or programs, it is necessary that verification of payment of these benefits be made to the Contracts and Procurement Division-Contract Compliance with the first payroll. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including alternates), made payable to the City of Topeka, Kansas. The original bid security shall be in the office of Contracts and Procurement before the closing date Bonds - Bid, performance and payment bonds and other instruments of security. Bidders shall take note of requirements for notification of MBE's and WBE's as stated in paragraph 24 of the Instruction to Bidders.
