The Friendship Heights Village Council, governing body for the Village of Friendship Heights, invites proposals for the replacement of one HVAC 1O-ton split system unit in the Friendship Heights Village Center. The Village reserves the right to refuse all bids if none appear appropriate to the Village circumstances. Bidders to provide pricing including labor, equipment and materials to replace the 10 Ton split system labeled unit 2 in the Village Center auditorium. Price to include: Reclaim the refrigerant from the unit and dispose of it as per EPA regulations. Remove the overhead grate above outdoor unit 2. Remove and replace the existing outdoor condenser. Remove the existing condenser from the space for disposal. Demo a 6'x6' section of drywall to allow access to remove and replace existing air handler. Remove existing air handler from the space for disposal. Chemically flush the refrigerant line-set with RX11 flush to prepare it for the new R410A refrigerant. Provide and install one (1) new 10 Ton condenser for unit 2. Provide and install one (1) new air handler for unit 2. Connect the new system to the existing refrigerant piping. Connect the new system to the existing electrical power supply. Connect the new system to the existing condensate drain piping (provide new piping and fittings locally as needed). Connect the new system to the existing controls. Low voltage wiring is included (provide new thermostat if needed). Pull a vacuum and check for leaks. Charge with new refrigerant as needed. Start-up and check for proper operation upon completion. Close 6'x6' access area with new framing and drywall. Paint to match the existing color (paint specs to be provided). Remove all old parts from the jobsite. Provide warranty information for all equipment, materials and labor.
