It is the intent of these specifications to assist the County in restoring deteriorated concrete on various Montgomery County bridges and structures, using pneumatically projected concrete (shotcrete). All work will be performed under the immediate direct supervision of the Montgomery County Commissioner of Public Works, or a competent foreman designated by him. CONTRACT PERIOD: 3/31/2024 - 3/30/2025 The County of Montgomery will supply cement and washed concrete sand for said projects. The bid price shall be based on per bag of cement used on each project. Price shall include all costs of mobilization, scaffolding, sandbagging, chipping, wire mesh and/or epoxy bonding compound, all other materials used and all costs of preparing the surface and applying the new material. A record of the number of bags of cement used on each structure shall be kept on a daily record form used by the Department of Public Works for such projects. Records of the number of bags of cement used on each structure shall be provided before payment is authorized. The County of Montgomery reserves the right to extend any contract issued, based on this specification, under the same terms and conditions for a one year period from date of expiration, provided such extension is mutually agreeable to both County and Contractor.
