The VIA Stratford Station includes a two-storey building at the west side and a single-storey building at the east side, with a covered open area in between. Originally constructed in 1913, it is listed as a Heritage station and several renovations have been performed. After conducting investigations into the condition of the building, VIA Rail decided to include the Stratford Station in its major building envelope rehabilitation program.
