The City of Jacksonville is soliciting Proposal(s) for the removal and replacement of seventeen (17) fire hydrants. These will be awarded by two separate groups. Group A which will consist of 9 hydrants and Group B which will consist of 8 hydrants. Submissions should include one (1) original and (3) copies of the proposal, along with one (1) digital copy, of the proposal and should be returned in a sealed envelope. Fax or email copies will not be accepted. Incomplete or late proposals will be considered non-responsive and will not be reviewed. Each proposal must be complete when submitted. No changes, modifications, corrections, or additions may be made to the proposal once the City of Jacksonville receives it. The work shall consist of removing the designated fire hydrant assembly and installing a new fire hydrant assembly with isolation valves. See Attachment G- List of Fire Hydrants and Attachment H- photos of Fire Hydrants. The contractor will perform the following improvements at the City of Jacksonville. 1. Remove the existing fire hydrant assembly. 2. Install new fire hydrant assembly 3. Install/ remove line stops and/or install EZ valves, as needed. 4. Restore the site to its original condition or better. 5. All materials necessary to replace the fire hydrant will be provided by the City of Jacksonville.
