All furniture has been removed. The main scope of the project is to refresh the floors with new finishes, demountable partitions, ceilings and new lighting fixtures, millwork, and floor finishes, there is some abatement involved in certain areas. EllisDon is using Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) on this Project. This is an insurance product that replaces Subcontractor bonding. As SDI is being used on this Project; the bidder will not be required to provide a performance and payment bond, provided that the Subcontractor has successfully pre-qualified with EllisDon for enrollment into the insurance program. This applies to all Subcontracts with a value in excess of $250,000. The rating from EllisDon must be equal to, or in excess of the subcontract amount, or the subcontractor will be required to supplement the security with alternate forms of security acceptable to EllisDon, at the Subcontractor's expense. The cost of Subcontractor Default Insurance premium is covered by EllisDon. All other costs of security are at the Subcontractor's expense. The company must register, complete the prequalification submission and maintain their account in good standing with Compass in order to be rated by EllisDon. It is the responding Bidder's responsibility to have completed the online Compass application and have the required rating from EllisDon within one (1) week following the Tender Closing date. Provide all labour, materials, tools, and equipment as necessary to perform the Final Clean Work including all work specified in the specifications on floors 3, 7, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, and 23 only.
