Outdoor lighting and renovation of an educational facility in Vermillion, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for outdoor lighting for a educational facility.
**As of April 11, 2024, the project was awarded to Electric Construction for $147,301.00.** The University of South Dakota is accepting sealed bids for the "Exterior Lighting Upgrade Project." The project will be to demolish the existing china hat style light poles and bases, install new bases, conduit and wiring and install USD provided LED green light poles. Work includes: 1. Removal of 2ea existing china hat style light poles and bases that will NOT be reinstalled 2. Removal of 13ea existing china hat style light poles and bases that will have new lights installed adjacent 3. Installation of 13ea new light pole bases, wiring, conduits and USD provided light poles, and 4. Demolition of existing 480V lighting control circuitry within the Fine Arts Building. The Contractor shall be responsible perform the following work: a. The Contractor shall be responsible to demolish and remove a total of 2ea china hat style light poles including bases and dispose of - these lights will NOT be replaced b. The Contactor shall be responsible to demolish and remove a total of 13ea china hat style light poles including bases and dispose of - these lights will have new poles / bases installed adjacent to the old units c. The Contractor shall be responsible to demolish and remove the existing lighting control, contactors, wiring and conduit within the Fine Arts Building to the greatest extent possible. d. The Contractor shall be required to procure a total of 13ea new light pole with luminaire head assemblies per attached documents and as follows - no substitutions are allowed: Manufacturer : HCI Model : F100-L-C-FAC-105LED-4000K-120/277V-IES5-FA-BND+P405-FC-12-RAL-Custom Color Color : Custom P364-G5-LOT-G1-151 e. The Contractor shall be responsible to remove the old concrete base or will be allowed to chip the existing pole base down to a depth of 12" below the existing grade and bury. f. The Contractor shall be responsible to replace any concrete sidewalk / area within the project boundaries if removed - new sidewalk will be 4" think, 3500PSI minimum, compacted base with 1/2 " fiberglass rebar at 18" OC both ways with 1ea bar on each side. g. Contractor shall be responsible to dispose of any removed concrete required for the installation of the project. h.
