Site work and paving for a road / highway in Manteca, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to the construction of the project known as the Louise Avenue Pavement Improvement Project CIP 24112 according to the plans and specifications as prepared by the City of Manteca and according to the Contract Documents. The work includes grind and overlay, digouts, reconstruction, striping and pavement markings, signage, installation of bike lanes, raised median, curb ramps, slurry seal, HMA dike repair, and shoulder pavement along Louise Avenue from Main Street to east of State Route 99. The deadline to submit questions and/or inquiries is 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Tuesday March 12, 2024. Questions regarding the contract documents shall be submitted in writing to: Attn: Kyzen Nicolas, Assistant Engineer City of Manteca Department of Engineering 1001 West Center Street Manteca, CA 95337 Fax: (209) 923-8956 email: knicolas@manteca.gov Refer to this web address periodically as it will be updated with bid-related questions and answers until 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday March 18, 2024. The questions and answers posted at the web address above shall form part of the Contract Documents. Project shall have Substantial Completion within 90 calendar days and Final Completion within 120 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Time for commencement and completion of the work is important, and is the essence of the Contract. Bond Notes: The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, as well as a Faithful Performance Bond, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. All bonds submitted shall be from admitted sureties. Bidding procedures are prescribed in the contract documents. Bids shall only be executed upon the bound bid forms provided, which are a part of said contract documents. Bid guarantee in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid dollar amount and conforming to the prescribed bidding procedures is required to be submitted with each bid, as a guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder, if awarded the contract, fail to enter into the same, or fails to furnish in a timely manner the bonds and/or proof of insurance. Owner Rights: The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to make any awards or any rejections in what it alone considers to be in the best interest of the City; and waive any irregularities in the bids. Each bid must be signed by or on behalf of the bidder and must be enclosed in a Double Sealed Envelopes with the following information on the inner envelope and outer envelope. In accordance with provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid Class A license at the time that the bid is submitted. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid non-responsive Contractor shall restore site to preconstruction conditions. Restoration activities shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: 1. All construction equipment for the Project shall be removed. Subsequent to removal, the site will be cleaned to the satisfaction of the City. 2. Removal of all construction signs, temporary traffic control system, etc. 3. Remove rubbish, unused materials, and other unlike materials belonging to Contractor or used under Contractor's direction during construction Work associated with this project will take place at Louise Avenue from Main Street to approximately 600 feet east of State Route 99.
