The Project consists of providing, fusing, and testing approximately 2,611 linear feet of 8-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) sewer force main on the ground surface, connecting to a 2,000 linear foot segment of existing and active 8-inch HDPE force main lying on the ground, connecting to existing force mains at each end of the HDPE force main, activating the combined HDPE force main, and installing approximately 4,539 linear feet of fused HDPE sewer force main under normal operating pressure and flow along and within or immediately adjacent to the same trench as an existing 6-inch PVC force main. Union County reserves the right to reject any or all bids including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner further reserves the right to reject the Bid and Bidder whom they find, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. Owner may also reject the Bid and Bidder if the owner believes that would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive all informalities and technicalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work and to negotiate, as allowed by law, contract terms with the Successful Bidder.
