The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS), on behalf of Research Stations, is seeking a qualified Vendor to provide brand specific, Amadas Traveler Irrigation Systems for multiple Research Stations. The Amadas Traveler is needed to irrigate research crops to provide a viable plant so research results can be obtained. Each System must be delivered to the following locations, located within North Carolina 1. Border Belt Tobacco Research Station- Whiteville, NC 2. Cherry Research Station - Goldsboro, NC 3. Oxford Research Station Oxford, NC 4. Peanut Belt Research Station Lewiston--Woodville, NC 5. Piedmont Research Station Sherril's Ford, NC 6. Tidewater Research Station Plymouth, NC The requested brand specific equipment is necessary as the Amadas brand is currently being used in many of NCDA&CS Research Stations, the parts are interchangeable, and the staff is familiar with the operation, maintenance, and repair of Amadas brand equipment. Question Deadline 03/04/2024 Provide Responses to Questions March 5, 2024 The Research Stations Division maintains and supervises 18 research stations (twelve (12) owned by NCDA&CS, six (6) owned by NC State University). Research station personnel cooperate with scientists at land-grant universities to develop new agronomic products, improve livestock and poultry breeds, and develop better management practices. The State reserves the right to waive any minor informality or technicality in bids received.
