Calcium Chloride The material called for in this proposal will be used for maintenance of Township Roads in Woodford County during the year ending November 30, 2024. The successful bidder agrees to furnish the materials at the listed prices during the entire year. The quantity delivered could range from 0% to 150% of those quantities listed on the Schedule of Prices. Payment will be made on the basis of 100% of the material furnished each month. The total tons of material shall be computed from weights taken from the producer/supplier tickets. Each truck load of material shall be weighed to the nearest 100 pounds. Cazenovia Township and Metamora Township will split one (1) full load. Greene Township will order one (1) full load. Engineer: The Engineer shall be the County Engineer or his authorized representative. CALCIUM CHLORIDE Description: This material shall be in accordance with Section 1013 of the Standard Specifications except as stated herein. Locations: Calcium Chloride placement locations will be determined at time of delivery. Begin with Metamora Township. Upon notice from the Woodford County Highway Department, delivery of the material shall be within (5) working days to the agency requesting the material. The quantity to be delivered shall be determined by the Engineer. Basis of Payment. This work shall be paid for at the contract unit price per TON of CALCIUM CHLORIDE. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Material/Deliver and Install Proposals. A proposal guaranty in the proper amount, as specified in the BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Material/Deliver and Install Proposals, will be required. See the attached Special Provisions for specific instructions for proposal guaranty for this proposal packet. The successful bidder at the time of execution of the contract will be required to deposit a contract bond or proposal guaranty as provided for in the special provisions. Failure on the part of the contractor to deliver the material within the time specified or to do the work specified herein will be considered just cause to forfeit his surety as provided in Article 108.10 of the Standard Specifications.
