Demolition of existing Findlay Ave. pumping station building and repairs to the existing Princess Street pump station building. Princess Street Sewage Pumping Station Upgrades: The full scope of work is prescribed in detail in the attached tender documents. Without limiting the specifics of these requirements, the work generally consists of: 1 Demolition and disposal of contents of existing pumping station building and selective demolition of the steel wet well along with piping, valves, pumps and hatches. 2 Removal of identified trees to accommodate excavation. 3 Roof, ceiling, and attic insulation replacement for existing pumping station building. 4 Provision of prefabricated FRP wet well insert complete with new pumps, guide rails, platform, ladder, and level monitoring instruments. 5 Provision of new sanitary maintenance hole on incoming sanitary sewer. 6 Provision of concrete buoyancy slab for wet well, concrete buoyancy slab for maintenance hole, and concrete generator and gas meter pads. 7 Provision of new electrical equipment, PLC, ATS, pump starters, and instrumentation to serve the pumping station, housed within the existing pumping station building. 8 Provision of new natural gas driven back-up generator and pressure-treated wooden acoustic barrier. 9 Coordinate, commission, operate, and maintain a temporary bypass pumping system for the duration of the project. 10 Landscaping and application of topsoil and sod to disturbed areas, including around the pumping station building, wet well, new sanitary maintenance hole, and new concrete pads. Without limiting the specifics of these requirements, the work generally consists of: 1 Demolition and disposal of the existing pumping station building, equipment, and portion of the steel wet well along with piping, valves, pumps, and hatches.. 2 Supply and install a new enclosure foundation and prefabricated enclosure, complete with electrical equipment, PLC, instruments, and pump starter. 3 Supply and install an exterior natural gas driven generator and prefabricated FRP wet well insert, complete with new pumps, guide rails, platform, ladder, and level monitoring instruments. 4 Provision of concrete buoyancy slab for the wet well, and concrete pad for the new generator and gas meter. 5 Coordinate, commission, operate and maintain a temporary bypass pumping system for the duration of the project. 6 Landscaping and application of topsoil and sod to disturbed areas, including around the pumping station building, wet well, new sanitary maintenance hole, and new concrete pads. 1 Labour and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract value. 2 Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract value.
