The City of Hudson is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced consultants for: 1. Design of a New Building Addition on the existing site at 1201 Livingstone Rd., Hudson, WI. 54016. 2. Plan Approval, Bidding, and Project Management of the final Utility approved plan. The City of Hudson reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities, informalities or defects in any proposal, to accept any proposal in whole or in part which shall be deemed in the best interests of the City of Hudson, and to negotiate with the successful proponent. The City of Hudson will conduct the review, screening and selection of a professional consultant to provide the services required. The consultant is encouraged to suggest or incorporate additions or modifications to the scope into the proposal that will enhance or clarify the deliverables to better ensure success for the City. The City of Hudson is looking to determine how to best meet the needs of its departments, employees, services, and the public now and into the future. The Public Utility Commission has determined that to meet current and future demands, the current facility of varying ages and conditions must be updated. The goal of this RFP is to find a qualified person, firm, team to: 1. Design a new addition to meet these needs. 2. Identify construction approaches to reduce costs. 3. Project estimated bidding, plan approval, project management costs, and any other identifiable costs. 4. Obtain necessary approvals from Wisconsin Public Service Commission (if needed). SCOPE OF PROJECT This project kicks off the City of Hudson's plans to design and construct a new addition as needed for the Utility Department on the existing site. This project poses further challenges as the current facility is operational and must remain operational. The City of Hudson is seeking a firm with a proven track record of delivering complex municipal projects within an established budget. It is the intent of the City to hire a consultant for the design, construction cost estimates, and development of the project manual for bidding purposes. Additionally, the City is looking to bid this project after completion of the design, commencing construction as soon as possible. Therefore, the City is also seeking pricing from consultants for bidding, securing necessary reviews and approvals, and project management services. The Scope of this Project include: 1. Design of a New Building Addition on the current site, HVAC upgrades, security upgrades. 2. Identifying Phases of Construction. 3. Completion of a Project Manual necessary for bidding purposes. 4. Identifying estimated project costs. 5. Identifying its company's scope of services and costs necessary to complete the construction project, including, but not limited to, Bidding, Plan Approval, and Project Management Costs. CANCELLATION OF RFP: This RFP may be cancelled. Any or all proposals may be rejected in whole or in part. Proposals that do not comply with all criteria set forth in this RFP are subject to disqualification. INSURANCE: The selected individual or entity shall provide a Certificate of Insurance meeting the City Contactor Insurance requirements as provided in the attached Contractor Insurance Requirements document.
