The project is located at 3910 Old Buckingham Road in Powhatan County, Virginia and includes the replacement of the existing Village Building Roof. For information relating to this IFB, email: Will Hagy, Deputy County Administrator whagy@powhatanva.gov Powhatan County, by means of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is soliciting competitive sealed bids from licensed, qualified firms to establish a contract for the replacement of the low slope roof system at the Village Building located at 3910 old Buckingham Road, Powhatan, VA 23139 The Village Building is a multi-use facility housing Goochland/ Powhatan Community Services Board, Monical Services, Juvenile Probation, Voter Registration, Extension Services, Fire and Rescue Operations, and Administrative Meetings for Powhatan County. This project provides a new roof for a building serving a variety of programs and functions in Powhatan County. The scope of Work includes the demolition of the existing EPDM roof system, and underlying coal tar BUR, down to the gypsum deck and installation of a fully adhered single ply EPDM roof system. The new roof system will carry a 20-year warranty with increased wind speeds and cut and puncture coverage. The work includes the upper and lower roof sections, approximately 9,250 sf. Approved Manufacturers include Carlisle, Elevate, and Versico. Bidders must be a qualified firm that has been approved, authorized, or licensed by an approved roofing system manufacturer to install manufacturer's product and that is eligible to receive manufacturer's special warranty. Bidders must submit a letter from an approved manufacturer stating that the contractor is a currently authorized applicator and has been in good standing for the 3 previous, consecutive years of bid date. Qualified firms must have 60% of their annual revenue generated by the installation of roofing systems.
