The City of Bartow Public Works Department is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and supervision for the delivery of a prefabricated electrical relay vault for Odom Substation at 785 N Pleasant Ave, Bartow, FL 33830, Polk County. March 12, 2024, by 4:00 P.M. All questions must be received by the date stated in writing and must be sent to Danielle Rose, Purchasing Manager via email at drose@cityofbartow.net. The City of Bartow reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or part and/or to accept or reject any items in the bid and waive any informality. Estimated Quantities: This section applies to bids/contracts in which purchases will be made as needed over a period of one (1) year or more. In this case, quantities shown are estimates of usage anticipated during the contract period and may vary. Bid Term: Bid shall be for a period not to exceed the current fiscal year; September 30, 2024 ("Termination Date") and shall not contain any renewal options. Additional commodities and/or services in accordance with the term & conditions of this bid, to include the scope of work and pricing may be purchased from the Awardee for a period not to exceed the Termination Date unless otherwise specified with the specification. Bid(s) must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. In the event a Bidder submits more than one proposal, the Bidder may, at its option, in lieu of submitting a certified check or bid bond with each bid, submit one certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the maximum amount of any bid, provided that the certified check or bid bond so submitted clearly establishes that it is applicable to all bids submitted. Attorney(s)-in-fact who sign bid or contract bonds must file with each bond a certified copy of their power(s) of attorney to sign said bonds. Liquidated Damages In case of failure on the part of the successful Bidder to complete the contract requirements for DELIVERY within the time specified, or within such additional time as may be granted by the formal action of the Owner, the Bidder shall pay to the Owner as liquidated damages the amount of $1,584.00 (per day for each consecutive calendar day after the scheduled Substantial Completion date. Extended Warranty The Equipment manufacturer's warranty period shall extend a minimum of five (5) years from the date of delivery and shall include all parts of the Equipment regardless of original manufacturer.
