All questions must be submitted 10 calendar days prior to the bid deadline Noroton Fire Department Apparatus Floor Flooring System Project Description: Improving and repairing the existing concrete apparatus bay floors and immediate adjacent storage areas (as outlined below) and installing a new concrete floor finish. Approximate square footage 3400 sq ft. All cracks and irregularities in the existing floor must be fixed prior to the new system installation. The newly installed flooring system must be extremely durable, able to stand up to the heavy wear and tear associated with fire department activities - fire apparatus can weigh up to 80,000lbs. All work must be done according to state and local building codes. Contractor is responsible for removing all construction debris, maintaining and keeping the work area and adjacent areas clean and safe. Contractor must supply all manpower, equipment, and materials necessary to comply with these specifications without exception. The intent of these specifications is to install a new apparatus floor flooring finish system at the Noroton Fire Department located at 1873 Boston Post Road, Darien, CT. Included in the scope of this project is making necessary repairs toexisting concrete floors. The finished installed flooring finish system must be compatible with heavy truck apparatus use and movement. Fire apparatus can weigh up to 80,000 lbs. and the installed system must be compatible with these weight limits. Contractor must supply all manpower, equipment, and materials necessary to comply with these specifications without exception.
