Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Seaside, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Seaside, California is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to design a new Welcome to Seaside sign on the South End of General Jim Moore Boulevard in Seaside, CA (Attachment 1). The selected consultant shall perform the tasks specified in the "Scope of Work" section of the Request for Proposals (RFP). The consultant is encouraged to suggest additions or modifications to the scope that will enhance or clarify the work and the suggestions should be incorporated into the proposal. The City of Seaside is an ocean-side community that overlooks the beautiful Monterey Bay on the Central Coast of California, approximately 115 miles south of San Francisco. Founded in 1887 and incorporated in 1954, this 10 square-mile city continues to grow while holding on to the rich values upon which it was established. Seaside is home to the California State University at Monterey Bay, the Monterey College of Law, Bayonet and Blackhorse Courses, Fort Ord National Monument, and of course the pristine Seaside Beach. Young families and retirees are drawn to the community, providing a healthy residential mix of people and solid sense of community. With plenty to do outdoors, educational opportunities, convenient shopping, eclectic dining, welcoming accommodations and outstanding views of the Monterey Bay, it is easy to see why almost 33,000 residents choose to call Seaside home. With continued efforts to welcome visitors to Seaside, the City is requesting designs for a new Welcome sign located in the South End of General Jim Moore Boulevard. This area is a prime location for a sign with high levels of traffic from those traveling North from Del Rey Oaks and Highway 68. General Jim Moore Boulevard offers stunning views of Seaside and the Monterey Bay while connecting residents and visitors to the Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Course, trails in former Fort Ord, the Fort Ord National Monument, the California State University of Monterey Bay, upcoming development projects, and important Seaside roadways including Hilby Avenue and Broadway Avenue. Construction of the sign is anticipated in the Summer of 2024. Questions Due February 29, 2024
