Renovation of a fire / police facility in Lloyd Harbor, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
As of March 28, 2024 bids received were rejected. No definite date for rebid. Basement Addition: full basement with men's & woman's lockers, (2) full baths & showers, and storage. 1st Floor Addition: new office space, patrol desk, briefing room, storage. Existing Basement Alterations; storage room, evidence room, armory, IT room, mechanical room, janitor's closet. 1st Floor Alterations: new vestibule, waiting room, dispatch room, court clerk room, arrest processing, (2) handicap toilets, storage, janitor's closet. Site Work: storm drainage & structures, asphalt pavement, curbing, new electrical service, sidewalks, handicap parking. Each bidder must deposit with its bid a certified check of not less than five per centum (5%) of the base bid, or a bid bond with a Bonding Company licensed to do business in the State of New York in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Bidders will also complete a non-collusion statement. The deposit will be considered a guarantee that the bidder will enter a contract and furnish the necessary bonds and insurance for the work if awarded to the contractor. The deposit will be forfeited to the Incorporated Village of Lloyd Harbor, as liquidated damages, ifit fails to enter a contract within the time specified. The Owner reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject and/or accept any or all bids. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements involving conditions of employment which must be observed and prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract. Bids shall be accompa-nied with a statement of a non-collusion certificate along with all other required documents within the front end of the Contract Specifications. Owner may also waive any informalities. The Owner will not accept a bid rom, nor award a contract to anyone who cannot prove to the satisfaction of the Owner, that he or she and their firm has sufficient experience and is qualified in this type of work and is financially able and organized to successfully carry out the work covered by the specifications in the required time. Bidders must examine the scope and location of the proposed work, and shall not at any time after submission of bid or proposal, dispute, complain, or assert that there was any misunderstanding regarding the nature or mount of work to be done.
