Horry County Annual Pavement Marking Contract Last Day for Questions: March 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM Your firm is required to provide bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid (excluding alternates and/or optional bid items). The contract shall commence upon the date of the notice to proceed and shall remain in effect for a period of one (1) year unless terminated, canceled, or extended. The County may exercise its rights, upon mutual consent, to renew the contract for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price shall be required. The performance bond shall be delivered by the contractor to the County at the same time the contract is executed. If a contractor fails to deliver the required performance bond, the contractor’s bid proposal shall be rejected, its bid proposal security shall be enforced.
