Construction of New Stairs and Mezzanine Platform for the SHA Hagerstown Shop Mechanical Room. The Maryland State Highway Administration's Hagerstown Maintenance Shop is soliciting lump sum bids for the construction of new stairs and mezzanine platform for the shop mechanical room. This is to include but not limited to the following; *Demolition of existing stairs and wooden platforms *Shop fabricating and painting new stairs with concrete treads to be poured on site and a poured in place concrete platform *Fabricate new railing with removable or hinged sections for accessing cargo with a lift *Provide shop drawings of stairs based on provided engineer's design It is the responsibility of the contractor to maintain open access to the mechanical room during construction. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, transportation, and equipment necessary to perform all work. This work shall be completed in accordance with this specification and scope of work in the manner called for, and to the satisfaction of the State Highway Administration Office of Maintenance (OOM). Vendor is to use best practices established in the construction industry to perform this work. All work to be done in a safe manner, adhering to OSHA, MOSH, codes/regulations and standards. Vendor shall be licensed to perform work in the State of Maryland. The duration/term of the contract will be beginning Notice to Proceed through June 30, 2024. No Pre-Bid Conference will be held for this solicitation.
