This request, outlined in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ), aims to prequalify contractors for participation in submitting proposals for the forthcoming Norman Smith Tank Removal Project. The project is located at the City and County of Broomfield's Norman Smith Service Center at 3001 West 124th Avenue. This project encompasses the decommissioning and removal of three existing underground fuel storage tanks: a 12,000-gallon tank for unleaded fuel, an 8,000-gallon diesel fuel tank, and an 800-gallon tank designated for waste oil. In replacement, we propose the installation of smaller, above-ground tanks configured as follows: an 8,000-gallon tank for unleaded fuel, a 4,000-gallon diesel tank, and a tank ranging between 250 to 300 gallons for waste oil storage. A notable consideration under evaluation is the potential integration of the unleaded and diesel fuel storage into a single, partitioned tank.
