Work to be performed consists of repairs to protective coatings on three (3) steel potable water storage tanks, both on the interior and exterior. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to make coating repairs to the potable water tanks identified in the Specifications by means of Spot Repairs (prepared by hand or power tool cleaning) or Large Repairs/Full Recoating (prepared by abrasive blasting). Other Details THIS PROJECT IS SUBJECT TO PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS AS OUTLINED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. HARD COPY, ORIGINAL BID BOND MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE DISTRICT IN ADVANCE OF BID DEADLINE. Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 03/08/2024 4:00 PM (PST) Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code section 3300, the South Tahoe Public Utility District has determined that bidders shall possess a valid C33 contractor license at the time of bid opening, the Contract is awarded and for the duration of the Contract. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid non-responsive and shall act as a bar to awarding the contract to any bidder not possessing said license at the time of award. Contractors or subcontractors responsible for the surface preparation and application of protective coatings shall also possess valid Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) QP1 accreditation. Pursuant to Labor Code section 1773, the District has obtained the prevailing rate of per diem wages and the prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality in which the work will be performed for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed. Not less than the determined rates shall be paid to all workers employed in the performance of the contract. Such rates of wages are on file with the Department of Industrial Relations and in the office of the District and are available to any interested party upon request. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted nor any contract entered into without proof of the Bidder's and its subcontractors' current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. Bidder shall certify that Bidder and all listed subcontractors are currently and validly registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and shall include its registration number on its bid. If awarded a Contract, the Bidder and its subcontractors of every tier shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the Project. It shall be the Bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements. Each bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the District, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted bid price or as detailed in Section 00 20 00, Bid Security, Part 2.05, made payable to the South Tahoe Public Utility District as bid security. The South Tahoe Public Utility District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the best interest of the District. If alternate bid items are called for in the Contract Documents, the lowest bid will be determined on the basis of the base bid only. Estimated Bid Value $389,200.00
