The work shall essentially consist of the following: City to provide system maps and the desired survey area. Compile all data into a comprehensive report for presentation to the city. Detailed Scope: Follow ail City ordinances for ROW usage. Valves and hydrants will not be operated without Utilities permission. A pre-survey consultation with all designated agents to review all system mapping data and develop a strategy for the survey. Distance between listening points shall not be greater than 500' on metallic and concrete pipes and no more than 200' feet on PVC pipes. The City of Taylor has 130 miles of water lines consisting of majority ductile iron but also concrete steel cylinder (CSC), asbestos concrete and C900. The contractor will furnish all labor, material, transportation, tools, and equipment necessary to survey the water distribution system. There will be a minimum of two (2) people per team working on the survey. Conduct an acoustic leak detection survey of the water system and its assets to locate all water leaks. This should include GPS locations in both hard copy PDF and digital formats.
