Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for the construction as defined in the project drawings and specifications. The Work includes the following: Architectural: General demolition of existing kitchen cabinets, countertops, and selected equipment. Temporary construction barriers. New stainless steel kitchen cabinets. New stainless steel kitchen countertops. New epoxy flooring finishes. New kitchen equipment, including: New industrial range with cooktop and ovens. New dishwashers. New deep fat fryer. New wall oven. New pre-engineered, outdoor canopy. HVAC: New industrial-grade ventilation hood with associated fire protection systems. Replacement of existing rooftop-mounted air handling unit. Plumbing: New food preparation sinks and connections. New bottle filling station. Modifications to existing plumbing for relocated coffee station, sinks, and dishwashing. Equipment. Electrical and Lighting. Electrical connections to new and re-installed kitchen equipment. Lighting modifications. The Bid, if over $100,000.00, must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid Price in the name of the "State of Maryland". The Bid/Proposal Affidavit shall accompany the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of the Contract Price will be required of the successful Bidders. Questions regarding the Electronic Funds Transfer should be referred to Office of the Comptroller, General Accounting Division, 80 Calvert Street, Room 200, Annapolis, Maryland 21401, (410) 260- 7375 or mmcmahon@comp.state.md.us. Question Deadline 03/12/2024 at 10:00 AM ET The Contractor is required to meet all requirements of AC 150/5370-2 "Operations Safety on Airports during Construction," current edition, and FAR Part 77 "Objects affecting Navigable Airspace," current edition. The Contractor is required to obtain all permits and licenses required for the project work at his own expense. The duration for this contract shall be for a period of 225 calendar days from the date determined after completion of the approved construction schedule in conformance with the Standard Provisions. Failure by the Contractor to complete work on the Project within the time specified will impact airport operations and increase construction inspection costs. Therefore, the Contractor and his surety will be liable for liquidated damages as follows The MAA reserves the right to reject any and all bids if in its judgment the interest of the Administration may so require. The work under this contract includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, materials, equipment and supervision for the construction as defined in the project drawings and specifications.
