Renovation of a mixed-use development in Upton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC (herein known as "BSA"), operator of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) under a Prime Contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) herewith solicits your quote for the subject requirement for Construction Manager as Advisor Services to be used for the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC). BSA invites you to participate in accordance with the RFQ letter and all supporting attachments / documents which are attached. Any questions concerning this RFQ must be addressed via e-mail to the attention of Kevin Kirkendall (kkirkenda@bnl.gov) by the date listed in the RFQ letter. Questions Due Date: 3/14/2025 Anticipated Period of Performance: TBD - 9/30/2025 The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time The budget established for the EIC Infrastructure construction at approximately 140,000 square feet is $305M direct construction costs in 2022 dollars, escalated to midpoint of construction. The A/E has been tasked to design the new buildings and infrastructure with a construction cost of $305M. The CMa will work with the A/E, BSA, and Commissioning Agent (Cx) to adhere to this budget and to include eight (8) to twelve (12) additive/deduct alternates of varying size to support incremental Construction Bid Options ranging from 90% to 109% of the targeted construction contract price. The alternates will be awarded and executed at the discretion of BSA and as funding allows.
