The City of Frisco invites proposals from qualified vendors with experience in providing comprehensive trail wayfinding services for the City's hike and bike trail system. 1. Design and Implementation: a. Develop a comprehensive trail wayfinding system, including analysis, maps, and signage plans. b. Ensure the design aligns with our organization's branding and enhances the aesthetic appeal of the trail. 2. Signage Materials and Installation: a. Trail signage elements or "families", ensuring durability, weather resistance and ease of maintenance/replacement. b. Provide detailed specifications for signage materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards (i.e. MUTCD, ADA, etc.) 3. Mapping and Informational Resources: a. Develop digital maps for user accessibility and potential technology integration. b. Create informational resources to educate trail users about key points of interest, safety guidelines, and environmental considerations. 4. Maintenance Plan: a. Propose a routine maintenance plan for the trail wayfinding system. b. Include provisions for periodic inspections, repairs, and updates to keep the system current. 5. Phasing Plan: i. Develop a map prioritizing trail projects for implementation based on city quadrants. ii. The deadline for questions relating to this RFP is February 22, 2024 by 4:00 p.m. CT. Clarifications will be provided as soon as possible. Clarifications which might affect other firms' responses will be posted to Bonfire. Early requests for clarification are encouraged. The City will have the right and option to terminate the contract upon thirty (30) days written notice. The successful proposer may be required to execute a written contract. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
