Chemical piping improvements and replacement of chlorine dioxide generating equipment. The Project consists of the replacement of the chlorine dioxide system and associated interior piping as well as the replacement of buried chemical feed piping between Building 2 and the Insertion Manhole, precast pull structures, valving, electrical work, and appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Bidder is encouraged to register with the Issuing Office to ensure timely receipt of any information or addenda that may be issued. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to comply with Onondaga County Water Authority's Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Policy. The combined M/WBE participation goal for this project is 15% of the total contract value. In order to perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors prior to contract award shall hold or obtain such license as required by State statutes, and Federal and local Laws and Regulations. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b. Purchase made by the Onondaga County Water Authority are not subject to any Federal, State or local sales tax. Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials. Exemption certificates will be executed upon request. The Onondaga County Water Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities with respect to any bid and to reject any and all Bids.
