As of June 6,2024 the project was awarded to Consor but no amount provided **Per Addendum 1 the bid date has been extended from 03/15/24 to 04/05/24** The City intends to hire a consulting firm for the design and obtain UDOT and UPRR approval to widen the railroad crossing located on the Provo Subdivisions 2 at MP 691.20. The proposed expansion aims to incorporate one additional lane in each direction, connecting to US-6. This endeavor will necessitate close coordination and aproval from both UDOT and UPRR. It is anticipated that there will be 2 signal poles on US-6 that need relocation. The relocation of the signal poles will need to be designed according to UDOT standards. THis project may require meetings with both UDOT and UPRR. The selected consultant will be required to set these meetings up and manage the submittals and approvals from UPRR and UDOT. Spanish Fork City (City) is accepting proposals from engineering firms (Consultant) interested in submitting qualifications and costs for the design to add 2 lanes and widen the existing US-6 Spanish Fork Parkway Railroad Crossing. The selected firm will be required to get Union Pacific Railroads approval. Only professional civil engineering firms with experience in designing railroad crossings may submit proposals.
